- Price stability. DIRECTV satellite locks your monthly rate for 24 months. Cable promotional pricing typically steps up after the first year.
- Channel count and sports. Satellite packages run 165 to 340+ channels, with regional sports networks on Choice and above.

Where Spectrum can be the better call
- You want one bill for TV and internet and you’re happy with cable’s channel lineup.
- You can’t get a clear view of the sky — dense trees or a north-facing condo — and your internet is too weak for streaming.

- Call or text us. We check your address and recommend satellite or via-internet.
- We schedule the install, usually within the week, and get everything working before you cancel anything.
- You return Spectrum’s boxes and close the TV portion of your account (keep the internet if you’re using it).
- If something’s off afterward, you call us — not a 1-800 number.
